After a fulfilling trip to Karpenisi, Greece (his father’s birthplace), Kosta X began to understand and appreciate electronic music. Motivated and influenced, he taught himself how to DJ after returning to the states in the summer of 2003.

In 2005 he landed a job at a local record store, where he began building his collection and expanding his sound. Later that year he was chosen out of 100 applicants to attend a music production workshop sponsored by Red Bull known as “Red Bull Music Labs”. Under the instruction of industry heavyweight Bassnectar, he built the foundation for his production work.

His sound covers the spectrum ranging from deep, funky, electro, tech house to touches of ethnic, tribal, and progressive house. Throughout the years of honing his craft, he has shared the spotlight with the likes of Morgan Page, Starkillers, Cedric Gervais, and Djuma Soundsystem to name a few. Currently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA), he is gigging heavily and spending time in the studio producing original tracks, remixes, and edits.
