Biography

After a fulfilling trip to Karpenisi, Greece (his father’s birthplace), Kosta X began to understand and appreciate electronic music. Motivated and influenced, he taught himself how to DJ after returning to the states in the summer of 2003.

In 2005 he landed a job at a local record store, where he began building his collection and expanding his sound. Later that year he was chosen out of 100 applicants to attend a music production workshop sponsored by Red Bull known as “Red Bull Music Labs”. There he built the foundation for his production work.

His sound covers the spectrum from deep, funky, electro, tech house to touches of ethnic, tribal, and progressive house. Currently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA), he is gigging heavily and spending time in the studio producing original tracks, remixes, and edits.
